Day 4: Experience the Tolantongo caves and their hot springs

On this day trip from Mexico City to the Tolantongo Caves, we'll explore one of the most breathtaking and photogenic natural destinations in the world. Imagine stepping into a dreamlike landscape, surrounded by mountains and pristine nature. The caves, formed millions of years ago, invite you to explore their magical tunnels and underground caverns adorned with stalactites and stalagmites that seem otherworldly. Their constant temperature of 20°C (68°F) creates the perfect climate to enjoy in any season.

But that's not all… Let yourself be enveloped by the crystal-clear thermal pools, immerse yourself in the gently flowing river, and relax beneath the small waterfalls that connect to natural pools, ideal for swimming and reconnecting with the tranquility that only nature can offer.

After a day surrounded by nature, transfer to Pachuca for overnight accommodation.

Day 5: Pacula Dunes and the Magical Town of Zimapán

At 6:00 am we will depart from Pachuca towards the Pacula Dunes, where we will take a guided hike through the semi-desert landscape, perfect for photography. Along the way, weather permitting, you can enjoy breathtaking viewpoints where you'll feel like you're floating on air.

We'll head out to enjoy a traditional breakfast (not included) of gorditas and sopes with cecina (dried, salted beef) or other typical local dishes. Discover this unique landscape of copper-colored dunes contrasting with the blue skies of the Hidalgo semi-desert.

Afterward, we'll visit the giant, human-shaped natural rock sculpture, an emblematic symbol of Zimapán.

In the afternoon, we'll discover the rich history and culture of Zimapán on a walking tour of its charming town center. Start in the main square, the heart of the town, where you'll learn about the region's mining and colonial history. Visit the imposing Temple of San Juan Bautista, an 18th-century Baroque gem, and admire the details of its architecture.

Continue along the cobblestone streets, passing by old mansions and historical murals, until you reach a traditional ice cream shop to sample typical flavors like prickly pear or cheese with blackberry.

The tour concludes with a visit to the artisan market, ideal for purchasing local souvenirs such as embroidery, ceramics, or traditional sweets.

Overnight in Pachuca.

Day 6: Bus transfer to Mexico City

Day 7: Basilica and pyramids / departure transfer.

Mon., June 22 & 29

We will begin our tour by visiting the Plaza of the Three Cultures, where the past and present blend together (panoramic view). From there, we will continue to the impressive archaeological zone of Teotihuacan, where we will visit the monumental Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, the Citadel, and the Avenue of the Dead. We will also visit a craft center.

Upon returning to Mexico City, we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patron Saint of the Americas.

Return to the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure.

Transfer to Mexico City International Airport "Benito Juárez" for your flight home.
