Mexico City Murals & Markets
A unique urban experience led by Remix, the renowned international street artist. Guests are invited to explore vibrant Mexico City through pop art, history, and local food. A playful adventure puts you right into the daily life of the Mexican capital, and you get access to entirely different cultural expressions and a new approach to local businesses and markets.
Your journey begins at the iconic Central de Abastos. You can tour the vast perimeter in a car just to understand the scale and importance. The tour then cuts through one of the busiest pasillos, for at least a glimpse at the diversity of products, from fresh produce to tacos and traditional Mexican sweets. All this while learning a little about the dynamics of commerce in a gigantic market.
The route continues to a century-old pulquería, and a journey back in time. Then, head to the famous Jamaica Flower Market, for a feast of traditional food. From there, tours head to the Historic Center to take in murals in public spaces that give life to the city. The experience is topped off with a spray-painting workshop, to release your own inner artist!
Past tours have included Iztacalco, Magdalena Mixhuca, the Historic Center, Colonia Militar Marte and, of course, the Central de Abastos in Iztapalapa.
