Plaza de la Constitución
Between 1800 and 1850, this vacant lot served as a gathering place for the population for religious, civic, military, and traditional celebrations. By 1850, it was already designated as the Plaza de Armas, with only the necessary elements for these celebrations. The Plazuela is the meeting point for all of Fuerte society, who often stroll there on weekends to enjoy cultural Sundays held at the Hemiciclo a Juárez, where regional, state, and national artists perform, and the artistic achievements of educational institutions are showcased.
