Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Hoover
Better known as Presa de Bacurato, a dam located 48 kilometers from Sinaloa de Leyva, it was built to utilize the waters of the Río Sinaloa for irrigating crops in the area and generating hydroelectric power. Its storage capacity reaches 1,920 million cubic meters. It is frequently visited by sport fishing enthusiasts who can enjoy catching black bass and tilapia during the season.
