Fiestas de la Purísima Concepción

December 8 celebrates the Solemnity of the Inmaculada Concepción de la Santísima Virgen María, also known as Purísima Concepción. This festivity, which honors the Virgin for having been conceived without original sin, is a dogma of faith in the Catholic Church and marks the beginning of the Christmas celebration, with masses, processions, and cultural activities in many Catholic countries.
