Iglesia de Nuestra Señora El rosario
The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario is a Catholic temple dedicated to the Virgen del Rosario, a Marian advocation highly venerated in the Hispanic world and in Mexico. These types of churches are usually centers for prayer, celebration of masses, and religious events related to the praying of the Rosary and Marian festivities.
The "Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario" refers to multiple temples in Mexico and other places, but the most prominent is the Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Rosario in El Rosario, Sinaloa, a Baroque-style sanctuary with an impressive altarpiece covered in gold leaf. Another important church is the Capilla del Rosario in Puebla, founded by the Dominicos and one of the first in the country, which exhibits a Baroque style with salomonic columns.
