Aguaverde

It is located 23 kilometers from the municipal seat. With its beautiful virgin beaches of Caimanero and the Laguna of the same name, where various species are caught, especially shrimp, which is exported to several countries. One can appreciate the mouth of the Río Baluarte as it flows into the sea, offering a magnificent spectacle with the large number of birds that live there. The Laguna del Caimanero also produceslisa,robalo,chiuiles,curvinas,mojarras,pargosandburritos. It has a sea turtle preservation camp.
