Feast of the Virgin of Loreto in Cacalotán
Every November, the community of Cacalotán, in the municipality of El Rosario, Sinaloa, celebrates the Day of the Virgin of Loreto, the town’s patron saint. The festival combines mass, processions, traditional music, and cultural activities, bringing together local devotees and visitors in an atmosphere of devotion and community fellowship. This celebration is one of the most important in the region and reflects the strong religious and cultural identity of its residents.
Although the Feast of the Virgin of Loreto is officially celebrated on December 10 in the Catholic Church, the community of Cacalotán traditionally holds its patronal festival on September 8. The celebration includes masses, pilgrimages, and processions throughout the town to honor their patron saint.
