Manzanillo Prepares to Host the 72nd Sport Fishing Tournament 2025
From November 27 to 29, in the framework of the 200th anniversary of Mexico’s most important port, Manzanillo will welcome anglers from across the country to compete for over $800,000 MXN in prizes. Categories include Marlin, Dorado, Tuna, and Jackpot, making it one of the most prestigious sport fishing competitions in Mexico.
For more than seven decades, this tournament has built its reputation by bringing together both professionals and enthusiasts at sea, offering the chance to showcase skills and feel the thrill of sport fishing. Even those without experience can participate, as boats with a captain and trained crew are available for rent, ensuring every team fully enjoys the experience and aims to catch the best specimen.
Plaza Juárez, located in the heart of Manzanillo’s Historic Downtown, will serve as the meeting point and the stage for a vibrant public celebration. The event will feature live music, a food court, local product sales, and family-friendly activities, turning the tournament into a festival that blends sport, tradition, and community.
