Colima Birding: Birdwatching Experience
From December 3 to 5, 2025, enjoy a complete experience featuring workshops, conferences, forums, and panels at the Centro Cultural de Salagua in Manzanillo.
Then, on December 6 and 7, embark on one of the five birdwatching routes specially designed for you, taking you through the most emblematic landscapes of Colima, Comala, Minatitlán, Ixtlahuacán, and Manzanillo.
Route: Laguna La María and La Yerbabuena
Schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Habitat: Riparian and cloud forests with grassland areas.
Distance: 3 to 4 km
Highlight species: Pale-billed Chachalaca, Mexican Woodpecker, Elegant Trogon, Sinaloa Wren, and many more.
Cost: $750 MXN per person.

Habitat: Temperate forest.

Habitat: Dry tropical forest with a lagoon.
Distance: 3 to 4 km
Highlight species: Colima Pygmy Owl, Northern Cardinal, Mexican Tiger Heron, Green Kingfisher, and many others.

Habitat: Mangroves, tropical dry forest, grasslands, natural and artificial lakes, and coastal ecosystems.
