Under the theme “The world speaks to us like a great book,” the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) will celebrate its 40th edition from November 28 to December 6 at Expo Guadalajara, with Italy as the Guest of Honor.
This edition offers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural and literary richness of Italy in its many expressions. It marks the second time Italy has been invited as Guest of Honor at the FIL, with a program designed to broaden cultural dialogue between Mexico, Latin America, and Europe.
Italy’s presence is expected to include cultural activities that go beyond literature, connecting themes such as art, gastronomy, music, and other creative expressions that will further enrich the visitor experience.
As every year, the FIL brings together thousands of professionals—including publishers, authors, and publishing houses—along with a wide reading public from across Mexico and around the world. Throughout the fair, Expo Guadalajara becomes a dynamic space for book launches, panel discussions, conferences, cultural encounters, concerts, and many other activities for all audiences.
FIL Guadalajara 2026 is a celebration of books, ideas, and cultural exchange that transforms and connects reading communities from every corner of the globe. From professional gatherings to family-friendly activities, this fair stands as a one-of-a-kind cultural destination that reaffirms Jalisco as a hub for culture and literature.
