Guadalajara is getting ready to celebrate the seventh art at the 41st edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), a key event for the film industry in Mexico and Latin America, showcasing the best of contemporary cinema from around the world.

Each year, national and international filmmakers, distributors, producers, audiovisual professionals, and film lovers gather at the Cineteca FICG—the festival’s official venue—as well as other locations throughout the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, for a variety of special events centered around the film industry.

This year’s guest country of honor is Chile, offering a unique opportunity to explore its cinema, which has gained global recognition and stands out for its creative strength. As every year, the FICG program is shaping up to offer a diverse range of sections, including the official selection featuring a wide variety of film productions, the official competition, tributes, and awards that celebrate careers and cinematic works addressing themes such as activism, sexual diversity, and more.
