The municipalities of Amecameca, Ayapango, Chalco, Ecatzingo, Ixtapaluca, Tepetlaoxtoc, Texcoco, and Tlalmanalco await you to enjoy the 2026 firefly viewing season in their forests. A nature experience you must admire and enjoy.

Due to the bioluminescence phenomenon produced by fireflies, tours to admire this spectacle are at night. Arrival at the ecoparks is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the duration of the observation depends on each location, but is generally between two and three hours. The entrance fee is set by each location.

Since it is the rainy season, visitors are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear, as well as bring a raincoat.

To ensure a responsible tour, visitors must remain silent. The use of flashlights or electronic devices that produce light is not permitted. Visitors must follow the guides' instructions. Insect repellent and perfume should not be used; pets are not allowed; do not touch the fireflies; and photography is discouraged.

It is also important to book in advance; arrive with plenty of time to enjoy the various activities offered at the ecoparks; and bring a budget for meals and other expenses.
