Festival del Mar 2026

The second edition of the Festival del Mar, taking place August 7–9, will transform Coatzacoalcos into a stage where art, knowledge, tradition, and the sea converge, featuring a free program that brings together cultural expressions, academic activities, gastronomy, and musical performances by nationally and internationally renowned artists.

The activities will take place at the Niños HĂ©roes Hemicycle, the MalecĂłn, the Casa de Cultura, and the outdoor area of the Convention Center—venues that will host lectures, panel discussions, workshops, book presentations, storytelling sessions, exhibitions, culinary demonstrations, regional crafts, and a wide range of artistic offerings for audiences of all ages.
The academic program will feature philosopher Diego RuzzarĂn, speaker Farid Dieck, and oceanographer Dalila Aldana Aranda, who will share their insights on human development, youth, sustainability, and the conservation of marine ecosystems.

In the evenings, the Festival will offer a musical lineup that kicks off on Friday with Nicho Hinojosa and Manuel Turizo; continuing on Saturday with the “Mar de Voces” concert, headlined by Javier Camarena, accompanied by the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra and Tlen Huicani, as well as a performance by Natalia JimĂ©nez; and culminating on Friday with “Las Tres Grandes”—Tania Libertad, Guadalupe Pineda, and Eugenia LeĂłn—followed by La Arrolladora Banda El LimĂłn.

As a prelude, there will be beach cleanups, mural painting projects, marimba and fandango performances, as well as recreational activities—all inviting visitors to enjoy and reconnect with the Veracruz coastline through culture, art, and environmental stewardship.
