Museo Municipal Techialoyan Tepemaxalco
Journey through the ancestral past of the Estado de México in this cultural space located in the municipality of San Antonio la Isla
It was inaugurated in 2014 and its name honors the Techialoyan Codex, a collection of 17th-century documents that record the history and territory of the indigenous peoples.
It features a contemporary mural that narrates the history of the municipality of the Estado de México, as well as archaeological remains from the Ojo de Agua site that depict the daily lives of some of its inhabitants.
It occasionally hosts cultural events and community exhibitions in collaboration with universities and cultural centers.
This museum strengthens the cultural identity of San Antonio la Isla and promotes respect and recognition for the ancestral roots and the lacustrine past of the Valle de Toluca
