This site boasts a wide variety of attractions, including the natural attractions: Zacalapa Waterfalls, Tres Picos Canyon, the Ocelote Biosphere Reserve, the Copainalá River, and the San Antonio Lagoons. Cultural attractions include the Temple of San Miguel Arcángel, the Church of San Vicente de Ferrer, the Church of San Juan Evangelista, and the Plaza de los Danzantes.

The local cuisine is characterized by the following dishes: pimbu, tzata, chipilín tamale, cacao pozol, and sour atole.

The crafts made at this site include Zoque embroidery, gourds, clay masks, handwoven traditional clothing, and pottery.

Its most famous festivals are: All Saints\' Day, Holy Week, and the Patron Saint Festival of San Vicente Ferrer.
