Mundo Fútbol

The International Football Hall of Fame and a giant interactive museum and sporting center devoted just to the sport that brings the whole world together.

Mundo Fútbol

Mundo Fútbol is a dynamic, interactive museum and Hall of Fame that combines sport, technology, history and fun in the heart of the birthplace of Mexican Football. International visitors seldom understand that Pachuca was the first city in Mexico to host a professional level football team. All that is directly linked to the status of Pachuca as the only Mexican city with a distinctly English twist to the local culture and history. (During the colonial period, Pachuca miners were recruited directly from Cornwall in England for their skills and know how.)

Visitors get to discover the origins of football as it related to the history of humankind. You can also test your physical skills by measuring the power of your shot, your jumping, and speed. It all takes place in a dynamic, adrenaline-filled atmosphere.

After training, visitors can immerse themselves in the essence of the sport by defending the goal in a virtual challenge and taking part in all manner of virtual and real-time challenges. The more talkative can experience the thrill of the sidelines on a real TV set or in a sports radio booth.

The International Football Hall of Fame rounds out any visit with memorabilia and records of the greatest players, matches, and plays in the history of the sport. Within the same complex, the facility helps fans and players pays homage to the greatest football legends and players with lots that remains modern, interactive and exciting.

Pachuca de Soto in Hidalgo is not just the birthplace of Mexican football, but a must-stop for any visitor to central Mexico. Travel to the Capital of Hidalgo will get a lot easier in 2027, with the opening of the train from Mexico City. Until then, visitors to Pachuca can arrive easily from the Terminal del Norte in Mexico City. Most buses will arrive in about 90 minutes to the Central de Autobuses. From there, you get access to the numerous other museums, parks, and novelties in and around the Pachuca Centro Histórico.
