San Pablo Villa de Mitla, designated a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) since 2015, stands out for its rich cultural and historical heritage.

Its archaeological site is the second most important ceremonial center in Oaxaca, and the caves of Yagul and Mitla, featuring ancient cave paintings, are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among its main attractions are the Mitla archaeological zone, the Church of San Pablo, La Fortaleza, and beautiful natural landscapes.

Its gastronomy includes yellow mole, chichilo, chocolate atole, artisanal ice cream, and mezcal. The town is also famous for its wool and cotton textiles, and it celebrates traditional festivals such as the Guelaguetza and the Day of the Dead.
