Welcome to Oaxaca! You'll be met at the airport when your flight arrives, with quick efficient transport direct to the hotel.
You'll have plenty of time to freshen up and relax before things get going tomorrow.
With plenty of time breakfast, you'll be picked up from the hotel at 9:45 a.m. We'll call to confirm prior to arriving.
You'll explore world-famous Monte Albán (entrance is included), and get a start at understanding magnificent ancient Oaxaca. This is followed by a visit to San Antonio Arrazola or San Martín Tilcajete, where Mexico's most famous alebrije handcrafts are created.
Your day ends in San Bartolo Coyotepec, where you can learn about traditional black pottery and explore to your heart's content.
Have a bit of a lie-in. Pick ups are normally at about 9:45 a.m. but we'll call to confirm.
The Tree of Tule is said to be some 2,000 years old. It's long been one of the most famous attractions in the area due to its enormous girth. It's as big around as a house.
Next, set off for Teotitlán del Valle. It's a friendly Zapotec town famous for the rugs woven using ancestral techniques. It's also a great place to walk and explore, with colorful adventures around every corner.
Next, you can explore the archaeological site at Mitla (entrance is included). Known as the City of the Dead, it's a fascinating and rugged ancient site. The traditional ice cream from the local market make it a natural place to stop, but you can also learn something about making mezcal and taste at least a few of the varieties on offer.
Set off from the hotel at 6 a.m to arrive in fantastic Huatulco at about 10 the same morning. There's plenty of time to relax and enjoy.
There's a tour starting at 3:45 p.m. to visit the little town's key sites including the town center and artisan workshops. At the end of the day, you'll be glad you came along, with plenty of time to explore and enjoy.
After a leisurely breakfast, you'll be picked up from the hotel at about 9 a.m.
You'll set off for a complete boat trip around the world famous bays, with time for snorkeling over a fantastic coral reef.
Tours include the famous seafood lunch at Maguey Bay. There is a port tax of $5.50 per person, snorkeling equipment rental costs $250 per person, and a conservation bracelet $65.00 per person. But it's a fantastic way to learn more about the bays of Huatulco than you thought possible.
With a lot of Oaxaca under your belt, you'll be more than satisfied by what you can do in a few days along some of the world's most pristine and natural coast.
