ROUTE OF FAITH – THREE-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Oaxaca de Juárez – Zimatlán de Álvarez – San Sebastián de las Grutas
07:00 h – Departure from Oaxaca de Juárez
• Tourist transportation with certified guide.
• Light breakfast en route (box lunch or roadside restaurant).
08:00 h – Arrival in Zimatlán de Álvarez (30 km / 45 min)
• Tour of the Historic Center and Parish of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
• Visit to the municipal market (handicrafts, traditional bread, and local ice cream).
• Free time for photographs.
Services: Parking, restrooms, cafés, local market.
10:00 h – Departure to San Sebastián de las Grutas
• Travel time: 1 h 15 min (approx. 40 km).
11:15 h – Arrival in San Sebastián de las Grutas
• Guided visit to the Natural Caves (rock formations and underground caverns).
• Ecological walk along the Subterranean River Trail.
• Lunch at the community dining hall with traditional dishes (mole, tlayudas, caldo de piedra).

15:30 h – Complementary Activity
• Flora and fauna observation or horseback riding (optional).
18:00 h – Dinner and lodging in community cabins

DAY 2: SAN SEBASTIÁN DE LAS GRUTAS → VILLA SOLA DE VEGA → SAN PEDRO JUCHATENGO

08:00 h – Departure to Villa Sola de Vega
• Travel time: 2 h (approx. 75 km) along the panoramic highway of the Sierra Sur.
10:00 h – Arrival in Villa Sola de Vega
• Visit to the colonial temple of Santa María Magdalena.
• Tour of artisanal mezcal factories (tasting and explanation of the process).
• Free time for shopping artisanal mezcal and local products.

14:30 h – Departure to San Pedro Juchatengo
• Travel time: 2 h 15 min (approx. 90 km), descending through the Sierra Sur toward the Coast.
16:45 h – Arrival in San Pedro Juchatengo
• Check-in at eco-cabins or local inns.
• River walk or chacal fishing activity.
• Stroll through the town center and river viewpoint.
19:00 h – Local dinner and rest

Day 3: San Pedro Juchatengo → Santa Catarina Juquila → Puerto Escondido

• Visit to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Juquila, a place of great religious devotion.
• Tour of the town center and the handicraft and religious relic market.
