La Quinta Mary High-Altitude Coffee Farm

Waking up in this charming mountain town means starting your day with the fresh air of the Sierra and the rich aroma of locally grown, freshly ground coffee. One of the local staples that will keep you energized during your getaway is coffee. Learn more about its production at La Quinta Mary, where you can taste different varieties and explore small coffee plantations. You’ll also find handmade products such as chocolate and traditional Mexican sweets.

Historic Downtown

San Sebastián’s small town center is remarkably well maintained, thanks to the care of its residents. Here you'll find the Main Square, surrounded by souvenir shops, cafés, churrerías, and places to sip a refreshing michelada. Each one features wooden shelves and warm, cozy decor that matches the town’s aesthetic. Nearby stands the San Sebastián Temple, built in the 17th century.

Old Cemetery of San Sebastián

The Old Cemetery of San Sebastián holds the stories of notable national figures. Their impressive tombs and mausoleums slowly blend with the surrounding greenery, giving this 19th-century site a unique and slightly eerie charm. Take a light walk here and snap some truly original photos.

Villa Cocoa

At the entrance to San Sebastián del Oeste, you’ll find Villa Cocoa, an artisanal chocolate workshop and boutique. Learn all about the chocolate-making process and browse a variety of fine chocolate bars, bonbons, truffles, chocolate-covered fruits, drinking chocolate, and cocoa powder—all made from 100% Mexican cacao. You can also pick up cookies, jams, vanilla, and coffee. Make sure not to miss this stop during your visit!

Doña Conchita Encarnación House Museum

This historic house preserves old documents and artifacts from one of the wealthiest families during the town’s mining boom, before the Mexican Revolution. It’s also one of the oldest buildings in San Sebastián.

Sunset at Cerro de la Bufa

From the top of Cerro de la Bufa, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of clouds and mountains. It's best to reach the summit in an off-road vehicle or with a local tour operator like Malibrí Turismo, as the road is steep and winding. If the weather is clear, you might even catch a glimpse of Bahía de Banderas from above the Sierra.

Evening – Micheladas in the Main Square

After a day full of adventure in this beautiful Pueblo Mágico, the perfect way to unwind is with a refreshing drink in the Main Square. At the famous Micheladas La Barandilla, located in the heart of town, you can enjoy creative combinations made with beer, tomato juice, sauces, lime, seafood, and chopped fruit.
