Nacori Grande

Enjoy the regional food of Sonora on the ranch where Queso Cocido is produced and take part in making it.

We'll also visit one of two Bacanora distilleries, next to the Agave plantations where Agave Distillate is made.

Mátape

Be part of the traditions of the region by visiting the Musician's Museum and the traditional "Matachines." Taste bread fresh from a wood-fired oven, and see how good you are at making your own Sonora-style tortillas.

San Pedro de la Cueva

Finally, learn the history of Andrés A. Flores, a priest who defended the region from attacks by Pancho Villa. All this and more is at the Museo Costumbrista next to the town's overlook where visitors take in the unique landscape.
At the end of the day, we will go to the ruins of the Temple of Batuc and the three flooded towns.
