Visit the Grutas de Garcia/Cable Car
A magnificent cave system atop one of the fantastic cable cars of Monterrey.
Take in the entire cave system. Just about an hour drive to the base of the mountain and from there, a quick cable-car takes you right to the cave entrance. Scenery is incredible, and that will be well before you get into the cave itself. Exploring the inside of the cave takes about one hour but some enthusiasts will want to stay longer. Stalagmites, stalactites, marine fossils, and an inside chapel, make it an essential part of your trip. Visitors also take in the town Garcia, an older suburb of Monterrey with a slower feel, a quaint town-center and lots of good food, sweets, and desserts. Wear: Comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and bring a jacket and sun gear.
