Kiichpam K’aax is a community-based ecotourism center in the state of Quintana Roo that invites visitors to discover the Maya jungle through sustainable experiences.
Here, visitors can explore natural trails, learn about traditional medicine, take part in cultural activities, and engage with the community in a unique natural setting. These experiences offer a direct connection to the Mayan worldview, its ancestral knowledge, and its relationship with nature.
The project is located in the Maya Zone, within the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, and promotes a responsible tourism model that contributes to biodiversity conservation and strengthens the local economy.
Additionally, the center fosters environmental education through interpretive tours and sustainable practices, positioning itself as an example of regenerative tourism where culture, community, and the natural environment are harmoniously integrated.
