Teocelo, with a strategic location, allows you to explore tourist attractions of the region, nestled in the central mountainous area of the state.

It is part of the tourist corridor between the Magic Towns of Coatepec and Xico; this location makes it an ideal stop within the Scenic Route of the Veracruzan Coffee.

Teocelo, whose name comes from the Nahuatl and means "Dios Tigre", alludes to ancient deities represented in stone sculptures found in the area by the original communities.

Upon your arrival, get to know its historical monuments such as the Municipal Palace, built in 1921, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, which reflects the architecture and cultural legacy of the municipality.

You can make a stop on the way to tour coffee farms, where the traditional processes of coffee cultivation are shared, as well as participate in guided tastings.

Local cuisine offers dishes such as tamales de elote, mole negro, pan artesanal, pastel de gasparitos, and flor de izote “palmitos.”

Teocelo is a little corner with a serene environment, ideal for weekend rest.
