El Tapo de Ventanas Beach
Discover El Tapo de Ventanas, one of Manzanillo’s oldest beaches, recently remodeled, where the fishing pier, sustainable design, local cuisine, and family gatherings create unforgettable weekends.
El Tapo Beach, also known as Tapo de Ventanas, is a natural spa located on the southern coast of Manzanillo, Colima. In the 1990s, this area was used by local fishermen, and even today it is common to see locals fishing from the bridge that crosses the beach, keeping the region’s fishing tradition alive.
After its renovation, the beach has become one of the state’s main tourist attractions, featuring a saltwater pool and an architecturally designed trampoline that attract visitors every weekend. In addition, its unique natural setting—with rocky formations, golden sand, and clear waters—makes it ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or enjoying relaxing walks while admiring nature and the sunsets over Santiago Bay.
El Tapo de Ventanas Beach is safe for the whole family, and visitors are encouraged to keep it clean, preserving its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere. This beach blends tradition and modernity, offering a unique experience in Manzanillo while also providing income for local residents.
