Playa La Audiencia

La Audiencia Beach is one of the most popular spots among locals and visitors, thanks to its calm waves, making it the perfect place for families, even with small children.

Its small bay shape creates a beautiful blend of nature and architecture: rocky formations frame the turquoise sea, while colorful houses and hotels line the coast in harmony with the landscape. The beach’s name dates back to the 16th century, when Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza held the first official “Audiencia” (council) in this area. Years later, it served as a refuge for pirates and corsairs, adding a mysterious charm to its natural beauty.

In the 1970s, La Audiencia gained international fame as the filming location of the Hollywood movie “10: The Perfect Woman,” starring Bo Derek and Dudley Moore.

Today, it’s common to see families enjoying homemade dishes under their umbrellas, while others choose to try fresh local seafoodfrom the nearby food stands.
