Temple of San Diego de Alcalá

This elegant temple, featuring a Renaissance-style façade and built in the late 16th century, preserves a remarkable artistic heritage within. Visitors can admire splendid 17th- and 18th-century altarpieces dedicated to San Diego de Alcalá, as well as large oil paintings depicting Marian themes and scenes from the saint’s life. Particularly noteworthy is the Mudéjar coffered ceiling of the former sacristy—now the tabernacle chapel—an outstanding example of the architectural style characteristic of the 16th century.
