Declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1994, the Monasteries of Morelos and Puebla offer testimony to the encounter between two worlds and the very beginnings of a new spiritual and cultural history of Mexico. The route of the convents includes the following towns: Atlatlahucan, Cuernavaca, Hueyapan, Oaxtepec, Ocuituco, Tepoztlán, Tetela del Volcán, Tlayacapan, Totolapan, Yecapixtla and Zacualpan de Amilpas.
