Alpatláhuac retains a strong cultural identity.

Its gastronomy includes delicacies such as barbecue, triangles, chilatole and other traditional preparations that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Among the main attractions of the municipality are the Abaturc Tourist Center, the murals in its main streets, the Fair in honor of the Virgin of the Magdalene and the imposing Cocalzingo Waterfall (casada de Cocalzingo), just a few kilometers from the municipal capital.

In the Abaturc park you can stay in cabins among the mountains, zip line, rappel, cross suspension bridges, ride a horse or simply disconnect in a natural environment.
