Todos Santos, Baja California Sur

A magical town located on a plateau at the foot of the Sierra de la Laguna, a paradise overlooking the Pacific Ocean amidst an oasis of crops, palm groves, and the sugarcane fields of the Pilar Valley. The fertility of its soil and the abundant water from the springs of the Sierra de la Laguna led Todos Santos to a boom in agriculture, especially sugarcane cultivation, at the end of the last century.

The town of Todos Santos was incorporated into the Magical Towns program on October 23, 2006.


In 1850, it had eight sugar mills. This period of prosperity lasted approximately one hundred years. Beautiful colonial-style buildings were built to house public offices, hotels, and theaters.

Some of the activities you can do in Todos Santos include visiting Punta Lobos, the Guaycura Beach Club, the Hotel California, and learning about the Todos los Santos Mission.

Its local cuisine features lobster, shrimp, fish, clams, and everything related to seafood, as well as its typical sweets made with regional fruits.

Here you can find sculptures and paintings by artists established in the region, as well as wonderful handicrafts, jewelry, and other crafts made by the locals.

Its most famous festivals are: the Art Festival, the Reggae Festival, the Latin Film Festival, and the Patron Saint Festival.
