Among its attractions are El Molino Pool, the House of Culture, Coral Island, Punta Custodio Natural Park, and the Compostela Museum. It offers activities such as cycling, kayaking, and visits to leathercraft workshops.
Its cuisine includes dishes like pescado zarandeado (grilled fish), ceviche, and Ixtlán-style chicken.
Additionally, its festivities, such as the Feast of the Lord of Mercy and the Compostela Magic Art and Music Festival, bring the town to life. It is also known for its rich artisanal tradition, especially in the production of leather goods, and for its coffee-growing region.
