Chiapas is among the more famous of Mexican states. It\\\\\\\'s not vastly different from many of them, but there is somehow more magic packed into the state\\\\\\\'s tourist routes. Even off the beaten path, short voyages turn into enchanted journeys. And people spend a lifetime trying to capture the essence of what makes Chiapas not just special, but unlike anywhere else on Earth. Part Central American at its core, Chiapas is often the best of Mexico, and much that is brightest, and most hopeful.
