We begin our day with a tour of Guadalajara's Historic Center. Our walking tour starts in front of the Government Palace. During our walk, we'll have the opportunity to see the famous murals by José Clemente Orozco in the Government Palace, the Plaza de Armas, and the Rotunda of Illustrious Men and Women of Jalisco, whose tombs are located there. You'll be able to see their sculptures around the circular area.
We'll visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and the catacomb chapels. We'll continue our tour to Plaza de la Liberación, passing by the neoclassical Degollado Theater and Plaza Fundadores. We'll also visit the Expiatory Temple of the Blessed Sacrament, a beautiful neoclassical building that took 75 years to construct.
We'll travel to San Pedro Tlaquepaque, a town adjacent to Guadalajara, famous for its handicrafts. We'll stroll along the main avenue, where you'll find art galleries showcasing the work of various artisans, including the Bustamante Art Gallery, owned by Sergio, a world-renowned artist known for his beautiful and eccentric sculptures.
Free time for lunch.
Return to the hotel; the rest of the afternoon is free.

We have a soccer match today.
These matches are played at Estadio Guadalajara, located on the outskirts of the Guadalajara metropolitan area. There will be designated access points and security barriers extending up to 3 km around the stadium. Vehicle access to the stadium area will be limited.
Guests will need to walk from the designated point to the stadium entrance. Comfortable clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water are recommended. (Entrance not included).

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to the shores of Lake Chapala and visit Mezcala Island, one of the most important communities on the lake's shores. This island was the site of one of the most significant battles during the Mexican War of Independence. The boat trip takes approximately 35 minutes each way; be prepared for an adventure.
Once on the island, we visit the barracks and the prison, both buildings dating back to the time of the Mexican Revolution (1812). Our guide will share stories and important events from the island. After the tour, we return to the dock to return to the mainland.
We continue to the town of Chapala, visit the boardwalk, and have time for lunch.
Return to Guadalajara.

Breakfast at the hotel, meet in the hotel lobby at the agreed-upon time.
In the morning, we will travel along the Tequila Route to learn more about the history and origin of our traditional Mexican beverage.
Our first stop will be Amatitán, where we will visit the viewpoint overlooking the agave landscape. Our guide will give us a complete explanation about the Blue Weber Agave (Agave tequilana Weber). Then, we will have a professional tasting with pairings of tequilas produced in the region.
Afterward, we will travel to the Hacienda de Oro distillery of Don David Partida, a family-run distillery with several international awards. Here, we will tour the distillery and taste tequila and agave liqueurs.
We will continue to the town of Tequila for a walking tour of the main areas, including the kiosk, the monumental Tequila sign, the Santiago Apóstol Church, and the José Cuervo stores.
We'll finish at Matices Hotel de Barricas, famous for its barrel-shaped rooms and its underground restaurant, La Taberna del Cofrade. You'll enjoy a professional tequila tasting.
Afterward, you'll check in at Hotel Matices. The rest of the day is free.

In the morning, we will tour the La Cofradía distillery, learn about the tequila-making process, and enjoy tastings (tour hours may vary between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm).
Afterward, you will have free time to enjoy the hotel facilities, including the tequila pool and terrace. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the town of Tequila at your leisure.

Today we have a qualifying soccer match.
These matches are held at the Guadalajara Stadium, located on the outskirts of the Guadalajara metropolitan area. There will be designated access points and security barriers extending up to 3 km around the stadium. Vehicle access to the stadium area will be limited.
The client will have to walk from the designated point to the stadium entrance, so we recommend wearing comfortable clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and staying hydrated.
